I was thinking about either going to Daytona beach, Tampa bay, or St. Petersburg. Which one would be better for a young couple. I chose those cause they all about a hour or hour and a half away. We may want to go to nightclub while we are there or bar or something too.
So is daytona beach not a good beach as far as the actual oceanfront?

Daytona will have the most as far as bars and nightclubs. It’s also going to be closer than Tampa, St Pete.

Well I’ve been to all of those and wouldn’t recommend Daytona-it really wasn’t a very nice area.St.Pete’s Beach is gorgeous-a really beautiful place with plenty to do locally so would definately recommend that one.

St Pete beach is absolutely beautiful with plenty to do around it.. bars, restaurants, shopping and the wonderful pink 5 star hotel the Don Cesar.

From what I hear and have experienced, its more quiet than Clearwater beach which is reasonably close by.

U can also go on wonderful sunset cruises around the bay and dolphin watching too.

A must see, can’t recommend it enough.

The East Coast of Florida is where Daytona Beach, New Semyrna Beach and Cocoa Beach (this is just south of where the Disney Cruise ships dock) are located and the beaches have waves. I love any of these beaches.

Clearwater and St. Pete are very lovely but there isn’t any surf. My other problem with the West Coast is that the population is so very old. However, you can catch some awesome sunsets!

I would go to Daytona Beach or Cocoa Beach…both of those have younger populations and other things to do. Both have tons of construction on the beachfront so my personal favorite beach is the unspoiled Playalinda at Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge but since you are looking for nightlife too…probably Daytona. Cocoa Beach does have plenty of it too and I think it feels more like a smaller beachy town with lots of locals too.

daytona beach is nice, you are able to drive on the beach. Which is nice so that you dont have park your car and carry all your stuff to the beach. Plus you can pack like a picnic to take there.
Coco beach is nice- have to visit the famous ron jon surf shop. Its about 45mins from central orlando
if you stay in either one of those places past dark there are tons of bars to go to.

Dayton Beach is ALOT of fun!!! Ive been there many times for all inds of different events. Bike Week, Spring Break race week and a few weeks ago we were at the Daytona 500. We also drove down to Ft. Laurdale and Miami and went to the beach down there the water was warmer.LOL
