Disney World landscaping - when and how do they do it?

I’ve been to Disney World in Orlando about 5 times in the last couple of years for business and all of the trees, grass, vegetation, etc is always perfectly manicured in the parks, the resort areas, and even the side roads within the park borders. However, I never see a landscaping crew working and I never hear a lawn mower around my hotel room. I once asked an employee about it and he said that they do it at night but there have been times when I’ve gotten back to my room at 2am and I’ve never seen a crew cutting the lawn or shrubs. How do they do it? It must take an army to keep it that perfect every day of the year.

They do all that at night. Landscaping, some food preparation, putting together their costumes, etc. Saw it on a special once. Very interesting.

And so it does - take an army - which is one reason the ticket prices are so astronomically high.
I worked at Disneyworld in ‘89/’90. . . one of the best experiences of my life. Once the parks ‘close’ at nite, to the paying public (all of whom are referred to as “guests”), the hundreds of ‘cast members’ - maintenance, landscape, cleaning crews, etc. - converge on the properties. . . the parks are lighted so well - and brightly, it appears to be daytime, still!
The magic occurs, every nite, Disney style . . . and the results are what you experience, every day.
